CLASS proudly offers presentations, free of charge, on matters such as inclusion, the impact of hearing loss and the importance of language and communication for our deaf, hard of hearing (DHH) and non-verbal children. CLASS also works hard advocating for changes in the education system so all children can be better supported to receive an equitable education. Part of our advocacy includes lobbying and pressuring government to ensure DHH children, whose first language is American Sign Language, is given the right to be taught in their language.
Human Rights advocacy is a priority as long as DHH children continue to be isolated
and discriminated against in our educational system.
