Board of Directors
CLASS is governed by a Board of Directors who represent parents of deaf, hard of hearing and non-speaking children. Members may be made up of parents and/or experts in this field. Each member is elected and serves a two year term. The Board is responsible for overall planning and policy development for the organization.
Standing Committees of the Board
Program Advisory Committee
The Program Advisory Committee, managed by the Director of Programs is responsible for advising the Board on matters relating to programs and services for children and youth who are deaf, hard of hearing, or non-speaking.
Fundraising Committee
The Fundraising Committee is responsible for overseeing the organization's overall fundraising and, in particular, the fundraising done by the board.
Board Resource Committee
CLASS accepts nominations for the Board of Director’s on a rolling basis. However, nominations for each year are due by May 1. A nomination is not a guarantee of selection. The Board Resource Committee and the Executive Committee work collaboratively to ensure a thorough and consistent review process.
